Gaea & Co explores stories through the lens of the body. With a focus on movement-based study, we invite the wisdom of the vessel to lead the way when diving into a story. We strive to enlighten our audiences toward a state of collective healing and growth as we investigate our sacred interconnectedness as human beings. Performing amongst the Elements, we call upon the ancient wisdom of Gaea to illuminate the path toward collective understanding.
Artistic Director
Lily Filippatos
Lily Filippatos is an actor, director, dancer, and writer who wholeheartedly believes in the healing power of art. Born and raised in New York City, she has appeared in several off-broadway plays, and recently directed a pilot for a new queer TV series. She is a dance company member of the Isadora Duncan International Institute, touring across Europe to perform in many renowned and sacred sites. Lily tells stories that resonate in her heart, and that serve the collective through investigation of the human condition. She views her artistry as a means to spread love, justice, and transformation. She founded Gaea & Co in 2024, longing to bring likeminded artists together to create transformative art in tandem with the spirit of Mother Earth.
Mimesis
Gaea is the original ancestral Mother. The Ancient Greek concept of mimesis evokes Nature as a reflection for human truth. In creating art alongside Gaea, we seek the revelation of beauty, truth, and the good.
